Recreating the horoscope

Taking Raman’s Ayanamsa (2o° 56′ 36.69”), we get the correct birth chart as explained in the verse. No clue is available in the verses regarding balance of dasa or Janma Nakshatra.

I have also noticed that majority of the charts come out correctly by taking Raman’s Ayanamsa, as far as Saptarishi Nadi is concerned.

If we take Lahiri Ayanamsa (22° 23′ 22.40”), the position of Mercury and Mars changes. Aries Lagna begins at 14:32:49 and ends at 16:20:30, and an in-between time of 15:22 is taken as the time of birth.

There seems to be some contradiction here. In the 2nd line, the rishi states that he is capable of creating discord. But the descriptions that follow do not support the earlier statement. Also, here, father denotes native’s father’s father.

9தன்னுட தந்தைக்கேதான் தாழ்வான குடும்பமுள்ளான்
பொன்னோடு பணி(யி)யில்லான் புகழிலான் காலியில்லான்
இன்னவன் சோம்பலுள்ளான் இடறுகள னந்தமுள்ளான்

The tamil word used “Panni (பன்னி)” has got two meanings. Both the meanings are given in the last line of the translated verse.

Marriage occurs at 22 years of age. Rahu dasa will be operative at that time. The Antardasa will be of Mercury which is from 02-08-1915 to 18-02-1918. Rahu being in Pisces will behave like Jupiter and Jupiter aspects the 7th house as well as the Antardasa lord, Mercury. Rahu is in the Nakshatra of Uttarabhadrapada, Saturn’s Nakshatra, and this Saturn is placed in the 7th house. Also Saturn is lord of 11th house, another marriage house. Mercury is placed in the 7th house of marriage and is placed in the constellation of Jupiter who aspects this Mercury. Lord of 7th house Venus through its dispositor Mars aspects the 7th house. The word அத்தி in Tamil has different meanings. Elephant, Elder sister are the two apt meanings in this context. So, we can say that the Rishis address Parvati as the “Sister (of Lakshmi)”, or “Begetter of elephant-headed son (Lord Ganesha).

சூதுக ளில்லாளாகி சுதர்களு முள்ளாளாகி
We will tell about the previous birth of the mother of the native. She was born in a village, east of the current place. Was a very wise woman. Born in a blemish-less Vanniar Caste. Added greatness to her caste. Did not know any deceptive things. Had children.

With that idea in mind, tried to love her by speaking sweet words to her and enjoyed her to his satisfaction. After some time, she became pregnant and was affected mentally and physically. When she informed him of this,
25என்னாலே வந்ததல்ல எவனையோ சேர்ந்தாய்மாது
என்னிடம் வரத்தகாது ஏகுவா யிஷ்டம்போலே
அன்னவள் மனதுநொந்து அடர்நிந்தை சொல்லலுற்றாள்
அன்னமும் வெறுப்புண்டாகி அண்ணனும் தம்பியின்றி
He told her, “This pregnancy of yours is not because of me. You had sex with somebody else, and hence you have become pregnant; henceforth, you are not fit to come near me. You can go as you please.” That girl with dejected mind, cried that he has stated what should not have been said. And cursed him that he will suffer with hunger and will get repulsion towards food and will be without brothers and sisters,
26மறுசென்மம் அவ்வாறாக வாழ்குவா யென்றுசொல்லி
திருமகள் போலேயொத்த தேவியும் கயறுமாட்டி
விரவினில் மாண்டளென்றோம் மேவிற்று அந்ததோஷம்
குறைவுண்டு குடும்பந்தன்னில் குளறுவார்த் தைகளுமாகி
Will live like that in your next birth and that girl, who was akin to Lakshmi, committed suicide by hanging. This blemish fell upon him and misfortune befell his family. He developed stammering.
27அந்திய காலந்தன்னில் அன்னங்கள் குறைவுநேர்ந்து
அந்தகன் பக்கல்சேர்ந்து அங்குசின் னாளிருந்து
பிந்திய பிரமனாலே பூமியில் வரியப்பட்டு
வந்தவன் இவனேயென்றோம் வரைகிறோம் முன்னூழ்சாபம்
In his last days, he suffered a lot even for food. Went to the abode of Yama (died) and stayed there for some days and was again created by Brahma. We will explain the blemish that came upon him because of his past karma.
28இச்சென்மம் தன்னிலேதான் இலகிடும் பலனைச்சொல்வேன்
லச்சைக ளதிகமுண்டு நாயகன் துணைவர்தோஷம்
மிச்சமாய் விரையமுண்டு வீணப வாதமாகும்
அச்சுதன் தங்கையாளே அறைகிறோம் இவன்பின்சென்மம்
We will tell the results in this birth. He will be subjected to many ignominies. He will quarrel with his wife and have no siblings. Will lose money. There will be scandals. Oh! Sister of Lord Mahavishnu! We will tell about his next birth.

When the Rishi stated like this, Goddess Parvati asked, “How many siblings will his mother have?” The Rishi replied that she will have three brothers and three sisters. The other siblings will not survive. Kindly listen.
34செலவுக ளதிகமுண்டு சோம்பலுங் கொஞ்சமாகும்
நலமில்லை தாதைபூமி நயப்புடன் விரையமாகும்
கலவர புத்தியுண்டாம் காரியம் நஷ்டமாகும்
பலபல விதத்தினாலும் பகைவரும் சூதுமுண்டு
There will be mounting expenses. A little laziness will also be there. No yield from lands, and he will lose his paternal lands. He will have a disturbed mind. He will face failures in his endeavors. There will be enemies from various ways and will create problems and trouble.
35அதுமுதல் மரணம்மட்டும் அம்புலி பிறைபோல்யோகம்
நிதிமிக லாபமுண்டு நேமியோர்க் குதவிசெய்வன்
பதியது புதிதாய்ச்செய்வன் பலவித லாபம்காணும்
விதியினால் சல்லியநீங்கும் விளைபுலம் மேன்மேலோங்கும்
From that time onwards till his death, his fortune will grow like that of an ascending Moon. Will have many gains. Will help other people. Will construct a new house. Will renovate the existing house. Like that he will get many gains. On account of karma, he will get relieved from debts. Yield from land will increase.
36மாதுரு வர்க்கத்தாலே வந்திடும் நஷ்டபொன்னும்
மேதினில் கீர்த்தியோங்கும் நினைத்தகா ரியங்கள்கூடும்
பேதவே கிரிஷியோங்கும் புராதன பூமிசேரும்
சேமமாம் குடும்பமாகும் சல்லிய நிவர்த்தியென்றோம்
Monetary loss will be on account of his mother’s relations. But his fame will increase. He will accomplish his goals. Agriculture will increase. There will be no hindrance from enemies and yield from lands will grow. Ancestral property will be acquired. Happiness in the family will increase and the debts will get cleared automatically.
37பூமியில் பொருள்கள்சேரும் புண்ணியம் செய்வானாகும்
நேமியோர் தன்சொல்மேன்மை நிகர்கன்று காலிவிர்த்தி
மாபந்து மெச்சவாழ்வன் மன்னர்கள் பேட்டிபூண்பன்
காமியே சகலசேதி கழறுவோம் விபரம்ரெண்டில்
There will be gain from the land holdings. Will do righteous deeds. Will have cattle wealth and people will praise him. Will live with dignity. Will go to meet the King. We will tell all about the good and bad deeds in the 2nd part.

Time of death of his parents

38இவன்பிதா மரணகாலம் இயம்புவோம் முப்பானேழில்
அவனியில் மகரமாதம் அறைகிறோம் கெண்டந்தானும்
நவனியில் மாதுருவுக்கு நாட்டுவோம் அதின்மேல்அந்தும்
கவனமாய்க் கன்னிமாதம் கழறுவோம் கேளுமம்மா
We will tell about the time of death of his father. In his (native’s) 37th year in the month of Tamil month ‘Thai’ which is between 14th January to 13th February, his father will die. Five years after that, in the month of Virgo, which is 15th September to 14th October, his mother will pass away.

Death of father in 37th year during 14th January to 13th February, followed by mother’s death after 5 years. The Mahadasa at that time will be of Jupiter. The Antardasa of Mercury is from 20-04-1930 to 26-07-1932. His 37th year begins on 02-12-1930. So in the early part of his 37th year in Jan-Feb father passes away. Jupiter is the 9th lord and is placed in the 7th house of maraka for the 9th house. Mercury is another maraka for the 9th house of father being lord of the 7th house from the 9th house and has joined the 2nd lord Saturn (from the 9th house). This combination receives the aspect of Jupiter.

Age of the native during his mother’s death will be 42 years, which will begin from Dec, 1935. Dasa will be of Jupiter and AD will be of Venus (02-07-1933 to 02-03-1936). Sun AD will be from 02-03-1936 to 19-12-1936. Age of the native at this time will be (02-03-1936 minus 02-12-1894) 41 years 3 months or 42 years running. Hence mother should have died in Sun AD. Jupiter though not a maraka but placed in the 12th house of exit from the 4th house of mother. From karaka Moon, he is the 3rd lord and the 12th lord and is placed in the 6th house. Sun is the 2nd lord from 4th house and 8th lord from karaka, Moon. From the dasa lord Sun is placed in the 6th house.

Time of death of the native

39சாதகன் மரணகாலம் சாற்றுவோம் நாற்பானெட்டில்
மேதினில் ஆனிமாதம் விளம்பினோம் கெண்டம்வந்து
போதவே முருகனாலே போய்விடு மந்தகெண்டம்
தீதாகும் அன்பானாரில் சிறந்ததோர் சிம்மமாதம்
We will tell about the native’s death. There will be a crisis in the month of ‘Aani’ (June-July) in his 48th year. But he will survive that crisis because of the blessings of Lord Subramanya. Six years thereafter in the month of Leo (Simha), which is between August-September,

The 48th year will begin from 02-12-1941. The Mahadasa at that time will be that of Saturn which begins on 19-08-1941. So in Saturn Dasa, Saturn Antardasa he will have death like experience. See the conjunction of 3rd lord of longevity and 6th lord of disease Mercury joining the Dasa and Antardasa lord Saturn and placed in the maraka house. Six years after that i.e. in 1947 he will face death. It must be in Ketu Antardasa from 02-05-1947 to 10-06-1948. Ketu is the dispositor of 8th house placement planet Venus who is the maraka for Aries Lagna.

Next birth of the native

40பூரணை நாளிலேதான் புகலுவோம் கெண்டந்தானும்
கூறுவோ மிவன்பின்சென்மம் குறிக்கிறோம் புதுவைதன்னில்
சீரிலா பிரம்மசேயாய் செப்பனாம் அரசுசெய்வன்
ஆறுமா முகனைப்பெற்ற அம்பிகை யாளேகேளாய்
On a full moon day there will be another crisis, and he will die. We will tell about his next birth. He will be born in a Brahmin family in a port city. He will be living with Raja Yoga. Oh! Begetter of Lord Muruga! Listen.
41இருநான்கு ஆண்டுகொண்டு இயம்புவோம் யோகம்தானும்
வரவர செல்வமோங்கும் மாநிலம் சேர்ப்பானாகும்
வருந்துன்பம் யாவும்நீங்கும் மாதுரு குடும்பஷேமம்
திறமையா யிரண்டிலேதான் செப்புவோம் விபரமாக
(During the present life,) he will enjoy yoga after his 8th year. Wealth will increase in due course. Will increase land holdings. Will get cleared of all obstacles. Mother’s family will also be happy. All these good and bad we will tell in the 2nd part.
